My most anticipated books of 2017

There are so many books coming out this year. The books that I’m must interested in are either debut novels or continuations of a series. Almost all of the books I’m looking forward to are YA (Young Adult for people not aware what YA stands for.) Below is my list for my most anticipated books of 2017!

Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

This HAS to be the top of my list for most anticipated book of 2017. Ever since I finished This Savage Song and found out that there would be a 2nd in the series, I was super happy! I’m looking forward to going back into the world of Verity and reading more about Kate and August.
Excepted release June 13th 2017.

Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

This book popped up while browsing on Goodreads. I have never read anything by this author, however she currently has a trilogy out called Daughter of Smoke and Bone which a lot of people enjoy. Maybe I’ll read it at some point in the future? Anyway, the concept of this book is fantastic. Just from this one line alone gets me excited – ‘The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around‘ yes please!
Expected release March 28th 2017

The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli

Becky Albertalli is the author of Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda (again, another book I have heard so much about but haven’t read it.) This book is about twin sisters Molly and Cassie.  Cassie falls in love, while Molly feels lonely. However, the new girlfriend comes along with a really cute boy and Molly hopes she can win him over. To most people this may not sound like an interesting book. To me? It’s totally up my street. I love ‘love scenario’ books!
Excepted release April 11th 2017

A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah K. Maas

The third book in A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I have both A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury yet haven’t read either of them. Why would I be excited for this book then you may ask, since I haven’t read any of the previous books? Well, I tend to be one of the people that hate waiting for the next book in a series. However, since this book has been scheduled for a May release, I think I can wait a little bit longer. The whole series is based on fantasy and romance, and is going to be a must buy book! I mean.. LOOK AT THE COLORS! So beautiful.
Expected release May 2nd 2017

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

First of all, how bloody stunning is this cover art? I will not lie and say that quite a few books I’ve bought are based purely by the cover! Even though the artwork for this book is absolutely stunning, the story concept is also great. A daughter of a samurai, an arranged marriage, ambush and revenge. What is there not to like?
Expected release May 16th 2017

Duels and Deception by Cindy Anstey

This is a pretty recent addition to my most anticipated books of 2017. Duels and Deception by Cindy Anstey is book I have heard about from various online websites. The book is apparently a very light read about a women and her law clerk getting kidnapped. They have to work together in order to uncover who is behind their kidnapping, only to start falling for each other.
Expected release April 11th 2017

You Bring the Distant Near by Mitali Perkins

The exact same thing with Duels and Deception, this book I heard about through places online. I love the idea that the story is told from 5 different generations of an Indian-American family. I have a very soft spot for books that are told from different perspectives, for example Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell and A Tiny Bit Marvellous by Dawn French (both of which are fantastic books!)
Expected release September 12th 2017

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich

The story of this book is thrilling to me. An organization made of teenage spies. These spies are called Love Interests (hence the name of the book, shocking!) The book follows two boy Love Interests, one good and one bad. They are pursuing a girl who would be essential for their organization. Whoever the girl decides to go with though, the other will die. However the boys start having feelings that they were not trained for. Exciting stuff? I think so!
Expected release May 16th 2017

There are a bunch of books that have already released this year that hopefully I’ll be able to obtain soon! These books include The Hate You Give (Angie Thomas), Caravel (Stephanie Garber), and Windwitch (Susan Dennard)!

I could probably list off so many other books, however these are the ones that have personally peeked my curiosity. This is going to be an amazing year of book releases!
