I received this graphic novel from the wonderful people over at Jessica Kingsley Publishing and Singing Dragon via Netgalley. At first I was not sure how to write up a review about this particular read and it took me a while to wrap my head around it, but I think I’ll just going to dive straight in. This is a graphic novel with a powerful message. Here is my review for What Does Consent Really Mean?
After reading Simon Vs, I wanted to stay on the charm train for this years Booktube-A-Thon. I also wanted to start a book that felt different. The Island at the End of Everything was the perfect choice. I enjoyed reading this heart warming and emotional novel. This book excited me because I really enjoyed the previous book from the author – The Girl of Ink and Stars. Here is my review for this beautiful story!
As my first book for BookTube-A-Thon, I was really excited to have picked Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli. It has been on my TBR list for a long time, and I was excited to start. However, I did not expect that this book would be completed in one day. It put me in a reading trance and I could not put it down! What a fantastic novel. This is my outstanding review for Simon Vs!
From the 24th to the 30th of July 2017, the Booktube-A-Thon takes place. This is a reading event that is hosted by booktuber Ariel Bissett. Booktube-A-Thon is a week long challenge where participants attempt to read as many books as possible. Now I have personally joined a read-a-thon before – The #SundayYAthon – but I did not post about it. Why? Because I felt incredibly anxious that if I did, I would let myself down by not completing it.
This time however I will be brave. This blog will talk about the Booktube-A-Thon and share my TBR (To Be Read) list!
